If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or just plain exhausted by the weight of life—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to navigate it alone either.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are ready to look honestly at what’s not working and begin creating real, lasting change. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and refreshingly real.

With 20 years of experience, I support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, relationship stress, low self-worth, grief, and major life transitions—including the complex shift into parenthood. I also work with couples using The Gottman Method, helping partners reconnect, improve communication, and rebuild trust.

I often tell clients: my role is to help remove whatever is getting in the way of your functioning. Over the years, I’ve developed a sharp eye for identifying the roots of distress—trauma, neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, and personality patterns—and I know how to get to work quickly to bring relief. Whether you’re dealing with something new or something long-standing, you don’t have to stay stuck.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, always tailoring the process to each client’s unique needs and goals. EMDR, in particular, is the closest thing to magic I’ve ever seen—powerful, fast-acting, and often exactly what’s needed for people who don’t want therapy… but maybe need it the most.

What sets me apart from other therapists is my ability to infuse humor into the healing process when appropriate. I’ve found that incorporating humor and creativity in treatment not only creates a warm and engaging atmosphere, but also empowers individuals to embrace imperfections and build resilience simultaneously. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, safe, and supported as you explore hard truths, gain insight, and begin to feel more like yourself again—not just functioning, but fully living.

I offer both in-person sessions in our beautiful Mount Prospect office suite and virtual telehealth sessions for clients across Illinois and Indiana. Our in-person space is conveniently located adjacent to the train station—whether you’re walking in after work or traveling from the city, it’s designed to help you exhale the moment you arrive.

Some of my intersecting identities include being a white, cisgender woman, a mother of two, a person raised Catholic, an improv enthusiast, a CrossFitter, an avid reader, an LGBTQIA+ ally and advocate, a tennis player, and a small-town Indiana girl at heart. These lived experiences shape the lens through which I view healing and help me connect with clients navigating layered identities, cultural expectations, and generational patterns.

I would be honored to join you on your journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing—where you can begin to embrace your uniqueness and flourish in the face of life’s challenges.

Therapy doesn’t require you to have it all figured out—just a willingness to begin. You can come as you are. We’ll go from there.
